
Enjoy the music, traditional dress, bowler hats, horses and ponies this day. Sint Jan`s Draverij is the traditional horse race in Midsland. The riders are dressed in white, with clogs and trot unsaddled through the sand-covered Oosterburen in Midsland.
Sint Jan`s Draverij is organised by the Sint-Jans Committee. Its members wear a special headgear and are therefore also known as the `bulb hats`.
Hard trotting is from 2 p.m. until about 5 p.m. `In the evening at 8 p.m. there is the traditional, live musical chairs dance under the church and the prize-giving ceremony and draw of the lottery will take place at 9 p.m. at Bar Dancing Wyb in Midsland.
